Intro

Spanny Falls is an easy-access waterfall stop in Dominica’s Interior. It’s in the same central waterfall area as Emerald Pool, Jacko, and Salton. You get a first falls via a concrete path, plus an optional bonus second cascade a few minutes upstream.

What you’ll do

  • Park next to the shops near the GPS pin.
  • Follow the road that leads to the concrete path.
  • Walk down to the first waterfall and pool.
  • Optional bonus: look for the rope on a rock on the left side of the river.
  • Climb up and walk 3–4 minutes to reach the second waterfall.
  • Return the same way.

Key tips

  • Park with extra care: cars drive fast in this area.
  • Wear shoes with grip. Concrete can still be slippery when wet.
  • Optional bonus route: only take the rope if you feel confident on wet rock.
  • Avoid right after heavy rain if the river is high or surfaces feel slick.
  • Bring small cash for the entry fee.
