Victoria Falls is accessed from Delices via an unpaved turn-off at GPS location. The route starts from a paid parking area (EC$15) in the valley and follows painted arrows with two river crossings before continuing upstream toward the viewpoints.

Batibou Beach

Northeast Coast

A secluded golden-sand beach lined with palms, reached by a short trail (or 4x4 access), perfect for a quiet swim and a full beach day.

Sari Sari Falls

Southeast Coast

Spectacular waterfall near La Plaine with a river hike and crossings. Free roadside parking at 15.3272644, -61.2563696. Since Feb 2026, painted arrows and a newer trail make the route easier to follow.

Middleham Falls

Roseau Valley

One of the tallest waterfalls on the island at over 60 meters. Trail from Laudat through rainforest, parrots often spotted.

Ripaton Beach

A calm beach near Portsmouth known for a shipwreck on the shore, with clear-day views toward Les Saintes.

Syndicate Trail

A flat, easy rainforest loop on the Morne Diablotin massif with multiple viewpoints, best known for early-morning parrot spotting.

A steep-but-doable summit hike from Giraudel with big views, a big vertical gain, and very muddy sections—best early for clearer skies.

Dubuc Falls

Little-known double waterfall in Dubuc, just west of Grand Bay (often pinned as “Berekua/Beruka” on maps). The route is a true river adventure—about 1 hour upstream to reach the falls. Free access, but only attempt in safe weather.

Dominica’s most famous easy waterfall stop, with a short developed trail to a rainforest pool that’s best visited outside peak cruise-ship hours.

One of the easiest WNT segments, linking Colihaut Heights to Syndicate on farm roads and dirt tracks with great west coast views and strong chances of seeing parrots.

WNT 12: Penville to Capuchin

Portsmouth & Northwest

A long, steep north-island WNT day from Borne to Penville via Moore Park and the slopes of Morne aux Diables, often overgrown and slow. Info varies a lot and we haven’t explored it yet.

WNT 13: Capuchin to Cabrits

Portsmouth & Northwest

A scenic north-coast crossing from Penville to Capuchin with narrow cliffside sections, river crossings, and big coastline views. Often doable, but footing can be slick and overgrowth can appear.

WNT 14 Capuchin to Cabrits National Park

The final WNT segment: a moderate coastal road-and-path walk from Capuchin to Cabrits (Fort Shirley), passing small northwest villages with sea views along the way.

WNT 2: Soufriere to Bellevue

South Coast

Second segment of the Waitukubuli National Trail.

WNT 3: Bellevue to Wotten Waven

Roseau Valley

A lush rainforest segment that passes through Giraudel before a steep descent to River Claire. Navigation gets tricky at the crossing, then the route is easier toward Morne Prosper and Wotten Waven.

WNT 4: Wotten Waven to Pont Casse

Roseau Valley

A wet, high-effort WNT segment with big elevation gain and great views—easy to follow up to the Middleham junction, then steeper, muddier, and more technical with rope sections and tricky river crossings.

WNT 5: Pont Casse to Castle Bruce

Interior

A long, mostly downhill WNT segment from Pont Cassé toward Castle Bruce. Conditions vary a lot year-to-year, and recent reports note landslides and missing sections that may force road-walking.

WNT 6: Castle Bruce to Marigot

Southeast Coast

A coastal-to-forest WNT segment that runs through the Kalinago Territory, with Atlantic views, mixed road/bush sections, and key cultural stops like Kalinago Barana Autê.

WNT 7: Marigot to First Camp

Northeast Coast

A long, quiet WNT segment from Hatton Garden to First Camp that climbs through farms and forest with Atlantic views. Info varies a lot, and timing depends on conditions and navigation.

WNT 8: First Camp to Petite Macoucherie

West Coast

A very difficult east–west crossing from First Camp to Petite Macoucherie through remote forest, river crossings, and Mosquito Mountain. Best planned as part of the Segment 7–8 island crossing.

WNT 9: Petite Macoucherie to Colihaut

West Coast

A very difficult, remote WNT segment from Petite Macoucherie to Colihaut Heights with steep gullies and overgrown sections—conditions vary a lot, and we haven’t explored it yet
