A rocky South Coast peninsula with excellent snorkeling on the Caribbean side, on-site parking and a bar, plus an optional hidden beach adventure for confident swimmers.

Intro

It’s mostly rocky, but it’s one of the best snorkeling spots on the Caribbean side. Bonus: there’s parking and a bar right there, which makes it an easy beach stop.

What you’ll do

  • Park and set up near the beach/bar area.
  • Snorkel on the Caribbean side for clearer, calmer-looking water.
  • Look for the “champagne” bubble effect: walk to the far south end of the beach and start snorkeling from there.

Key tips

  • Expect a marine reserve contribution to be requested on-site (US$2 / EC$6).
  • The beach is very rocky. Water shoes are strongly recommended.
  • Stonefish can blend into the rocks. Step carefully in shallow water.
  • Currents can change near the point. If it feels pushy, stay closer to shore.
  • Snorkel gear can be rented for EC$25 if you don’t have your own.

What to bring

Water shoes, mask/snorkel (or rent), swimwear & towel, small cash, dry bag (optional)

How to get there

Drive to the pin on the South Coast. This beach has a parking area near the water and a bar nearby.

Safety

Watch for currents and waves near the point. The shore is rocky. Stonefish can hide among rocks—wear water shoes and step carefully.
