Entry Requirements for Dominica

Passport & visa

Most North American, EU, UK and Commonwealth visitors enter visa-free for stays up to 21–180 days depending on nationality. Your passport must be valid for the duration of your stay (six months recommended). Always confirm current rules with the Dominica immigration department before booking.

Onward ticket and accommodation

Immigration commonly asks for proof of onward travel and the address of your first night. Have these ready on arrival.

Vaccinations

No mandatory vaccinations unless arriving from a yellow-fever country. Routine boosters (tetanus, hepatitis A) are recommended. Tap water in Roseau and Portsmouth is generally safe.

Customs

Personal items are duty-free within reasonable limits. Drones require declaration; check with the Civil Aviation Authority before bringing one. Strict ban on items made from coral, marine turtles, or hard wood from the rainforest.

On arrival

You will fill in an embarkation/disembarkation card on the plane. The two airports are Douglas-Charles (DOM) on the east coast and Canefield (DCF) near Roseau. Taxis from DOM to Roseau are roughly 75 minutes; arrange in advance for a fixed price.
