Titou Gorge is a narrow canyon swim leading to a small hidden waterfall. Entry is quick and easy, but a life jacket rental is required to swim inside.

Overview

Titou Gorge is a narrow canyon swim ending at a small waterfall, with dramatic rock walls and cold fresh water. It is also known as a filming location for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.

How it works

  • A life jacket rental is required to enter the gorge.
  • The route is a short swim into the canyon toward the waterfall, then the same way back.

Visitors are solely responsible for their safety; this information is indicative and non-binding.

Best time

Morning or late afternoon to avoid peak crowds (especially on busy tour days).

What to bring

Swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, waterproof phone pouch/dry bag, water shoes (optional), and a light top for after the swim (water is cold).

How to get there

Drive to the Titou Gorge access area near Laudat and park nearby. Life jackets are rented at the entrance before entering the water.

Safety

A life jacket is mandatory for swimming inside. The current can be present, and there are limited places to stand or hold on once inside the gorge. Avoid entering if conditions look rough or after heavy rain.
