Intro
Middleham Falls is one of the tallest waterfalls in Dominica, with a drop of over 60 m (200+ ft). It’s a moderate rainforest hike from the Laudat area, with a viewing platform at the end. Take your time and listen for parrots along the way.

What you’ll do
- Start from the trailhead near Laudat and follow the maintained rainforest path.
- Hike through dense forest and keep an eye out for parrots.
- Reach the viewing platform and enjoy the full height of the falls.
- Optional: stay a bit to cool off in the mist and take photos.
- Return the same way (the walk back can feel slippery too).
Key tips
- The trail can be extremely muddy and slippery. Shoes with strong grip matter.
- Watch for razor grass (it can be very uncomfortable on bare skin).
- Go early for a calmer experience and better bird activity.
- Avoid right after heavy rain if you want safer footing.
